Empowering Autistic Children & their families in Jerusalem

I am excited excited to announce our ambitious goal of raising $250,000 in the next 3 months to kickstart the first phase of our campaign. This funding will enable us to implement essential strategies below and initiatives designed to drive awareness and engagement in our cause. As partners in Heart, together, we can make a significant impact and pave the way for future growth and development.

Hope in the Heart of Jerusalem

In Jerusalem today, countless families are quietly struggling. Families like mine—raising children with autism and complex needs—are stretched to the brink. My twin daughters, Tamar and Talia, are 19. They were born prematurely, diagnosed with autism and severe developmental delays, and today require full-time, round-the-clock care. They are nonverbal, fully dependent, and their needs are profound.

Caring for them, alongside my two toddlers and other children, is both a labor of love and a daily emotional and physical challenge. And I’m not alone. Across Israel, parents like me are choosing to keep our children at home—not because it’s easy, but because it’s the only way we can be sure they’re surrounded by love, dignity, and understanding.

But love alone isn’t enough. We need help. Reliable, flexible, affordable help. Not just for a few hours, but at times for a full day or two—so we can breathe, regain strength, and be there for all of our children, including the typical siblings who also need us.

That’s why I started “Shutafim Ba’Lev” — Partners at Heart.

We are creating rental apartments in Jerusalem designed as warm, safe havens for children with autism. These spaces provide short-term, overnight, and weekend care—staffed by trained professionals who offer love, patience, and individualized support. This model is more than respite—it’s a lifeline for families.

And now, we are raising funds to grow.

Every shekel, every dollar raised will go directly toward expanding this network of supportive apartments. Our goal is to meet the rising demand and eventually offer this vital service throughout Israel.

With your support, we will:

  • Hire experienced caregivers who understand each child’s unique needs

  • Provide communication tools like iPads for nonverbal children

  • Ensure nutritious meals and safe, cozy accommodations

  • Offer therapy spaces—sensory rooms, music and art therapy, quiet areas

  • Supply specialized equipment for physical, occupational, and recreational therapy

  • Support families with emotional counseling and social programs for siblings

  • Create healing environments where children can thrive and families can find peace

This isn’t just about care. It’s about dignity. It’s about preserving the soul of families. And it’s about making sure that children like Tamar and Talia are not only safe—but seen, understood, and loved.

If this mission speaks to your heart, please join us.

Whether through a donation, volunteering, or simply sharing our story—you become part of a solution that brings strength, breath, and balance to families who desperately need it.

With deep gratitude,
